Engineering & Systems Integration

Electrical power, PLC and controls, communications and RF, and mission-systems engineering for aerospace, energy, and industrial facilities.

GTech has a dedicated engineering division built on our federal and aerospace roots. We deliver electrical engineering and mission-critical power, PLC programming and industrial automation, SCADA and control systems, communications and RF engineering, mission-systems engineering support for prime contractors, custom hardware, and the technical project execution that ties it all together. We serve aerospace processing facilities, utility infrastructure, and critical industrial sites where reliability and safety are essential.

Safety and reliability first

Our engineering culture comes from aerospace and energy environments where mistakes carry serious operational consequences. Designs are documented, reviewed, and tested. Installations are commissioned against defined acceptance criteria.

Proven on the Western Launch Range

Our team brings 30+ combined years supporting launch operations, site integration, and mission security at Vandenberg Space Force Base, including infrastructure engineering and installation on NASA and NRO subcontracts. Being based in Santa Maria: minutes from the base: means rapid response when the mission needs it.

Aerospace and mission-systems engineering support

A significant share of our engineering is delivered as a subcontractor to prime contractors on aerospace and defense programs. We contribute mission-systems engineering, digital distribution and communications work, custom software, and automation. We incorporate each prime’s security expectations, documentation standards, and acceptance criteria from the start.

Communications and RF engineering

Our core communications capabilities include antennas, radomes, RF systems, channel banks, and signal distribution. We base designs on surveys and calculations, integrate them with surrounding infrastructure, and verify each signal path before it enters service.

Mechanical design and custom hardware

When a project needs a part, an enclosure, or a system that does not come off a shelf, we handle the mechanical side too: design, analysis, and manufacturing support, through to custom hardware fabrication and configuration. One accountable team can take a project from electrical and controls design all the way to a physical, installed, working assembly.

Bridging OT and IT

Industrial equipment increasingly needs to talk to business systems, and that boundary is where projects fail and attackers get in. We integrate operational technology with IT networks deliberately: segmented, monitored, and documented so data flows without opening doors.

Delivery you can plan around

As a California-certified small business, we serve as a prime and subcontractor on government and commercial projects: handling design, procurement, installation, and commissioning with the paperwork discipline those contracts demand.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on government and defense projects?
Yes. GTech is a California-certified small business with project history in government, defense, and aerospace environments, and we are comfortable with the compliance and documentation requirements that come with them.
Can you take a project from design through installation?
Yes: turnkey delivery is our preferred mode: survey, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and documentation under one contract.
Do you support prime contractors on aerospace and defense programs?
Yes. Much of our engineering is delivered as a subcontractor to primes on government and aerospace programs: contributing mission-systems engineering, communications and RF work, and custom software under the prime’s security, documentation, and acceptance requirements.
Can you design and fabricate custom hardware?
Yes. Alongside electrical and controls engineering, we provide mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing support, and we design, fabricate, and configure custom hardware when a project needs something that is not available off the shelf.
Do you handle small projects?
We do. Many relationships start with a single panel design, a site survey, or a small monitoring system, and grow from there.
