The challenge
Communications engineering is unforgiving in mission environments. An underperforming antenna, channel bank, or signal path can take a capability down with it. The work called for RF and communications engineering that could be planned, integrated, verified against real requirements, and documented for years of support and troubleshooting.
What we did
GTech provided communications and RF engineering across the signal path:
- RF and antenna engineering. Designing RF and antenna systems for actual operating conditions using surveys and calculations.
- Channel-bank and signal distribution. Engineering channel-bank and signal-distribution work so signals are carried and separated cleanly through the system.
- Integration. Fitting the communications engineering into the existing infrastructure and coordinating with the other systems it has to live alongside.
- Verification and documentation. Verifying the signal path against requirements and documenting it before service so future support teams have a reliable baseline.
Why it matters
