Outcomes

  • Engineering support delivered under a prime contractor to program requirements
  • Custom software and automation tools built to fit the mission workflow
  • Work documented and acceptance-tested against defined criteria before handover

The challenge

Government space programs concentrate everything that makes engineering hard: security requirements, absolute reliability expectations, coordination across primes and government stakeholders, and fixed schedules. A prime contractor needed engineering support that could contribute to digital distribution and communications systems, build software for the mission workflow, and produce the required documentation and acceptance evidence.

What we did

GTech served as a subcontractor to the prime, providing engineering and software support across several efforts:

  • Mission-systems engineering. Contributing design and integration work on digital distribution and communications systems, coordinated with the prime’s engineering team and program requirements.
  • Custom software and automation. Building tailored software and automation tools around the mission’s actual workflows.
  • Integration. Fitting the systems and tools we delivered cleanly into the broader program infrastructure.
  • Documentation and acceptance. Designing to the documentation standard the program expects and testing against defined acceptance criteria before handover.

Why it matters

This is the work that built GTech’s engineering culture. Operating as a dependable subcontractor to a prime on a government space program means meeting the same discipline the mission does: documented, reviewed, tested, and accepted, and it is the same standard we carry into every engineering project, aerospace or not.
