Complete IT and Cloud Infrastructure for a Growing Business
Replacing an aging, undocumented IT environment with managed, monitored, cloud-integrated infrastructure that supports growth.
GTech Engineering Team · California Central Coast ·
Outcomes
- Aging servers replaced with a documented hybrid cloud environment
- Security baseline established: MFA, managed endpoints, tested backups
- Predictable monthly IT costs under a managed services agreement
The challenge
A growing business inherited what many do: a patchwork of aging servers, undocumented configurations, expired warranties, consumer-grade networking, and backups nobody had ever tried to restore. Every outage was a scramble that depended on institutional memory and incomplete documentation.
What we did
GTech executed a staged transformation, keeping the business running throughout:
- Assessment first. A full inventory of systems, licenses, data flows, and risks so decisions were based on current facts.
- Cloud where it fits. Email, files, and collaboration moved to Microsoft 365; workloads that genuinely needed local hardware got modern, supported equipment.
- Security baseline. Multi-factor authentication, managed endpoint protection, hardened firewall configuration, and backups that are tested on a schedule.
- Documentation and handover. The entire environment documented in our management platform to give every future technician a reliable reference.
- Ongoing management. Monitoring, patching, and help desk under a flat-rate managed agreement.
Why it matters
The transformation changed how the business manages technology. It now plans systems as an operational investment, with a partner accountable for keeping them healthy.
